The original thin hollowbody guitars Ted McCarty designed in the ‘50’s had mahogany rims and maple front and back. We have taken his original concept and added a sound-post to tie the top and back together, limiting feedback. We use solid mahogany rims and a solid, deeply carved figured maple top and back. You can even order a “10 Top” grade top and back for a truly spectacular guitar.
