The Private Stock program is very exclusive. In the three years since Paul Reed Smith decided to release limited amounts of his most beautiful wood for customers to order the guitar of their dreams less than 120 unique instruments have been built.
The small team we put together to bring these dreams to reality is headed by Joe Knaggs, a skilled luthier and long term PRS employee.
Paul and Joe oversee the ordering and building, and they play test every single Private Stock instrument. Paul records his impressions on the instrument's sound and playability in a written report to the customer.
