Some of Paul Reed Smiths earliest hand-built guitars had mahogany necks and one piece mahogany bodies, 24 frets and tremolo bridges.
The original guitars Paul made by hand are now prized collectors pieces, but the model which evolved from them, the Standard 24, has been in production ever since. The neck has our regular profile, with the wide-thin as an option, and the pickups are our proven HFS bridge and Vintage Bass neck models. The Standard 24 comes with our patented tremolo system and locking tuners, and the sound is thick and full with plenty of high end bite.
